Round Lake Basic Water Management Project

 Project Background

The current water quality condition of Round Lake is poor, and recreational activities are impaired by summer algal blooms.  The City of Eden Prairie petitioned the District to complete this project.

This project's goal is to dredge 3 storm water management ponds that drain into Round Lake.  All 3 ponds have filled with sediment, thus significantly decreasing their ability to remove sediment and phosphorus.  Alum and herbicide treatments will not be conducted as originally identified in the UAA.

Current Project Status

The project is complete.  The project Expense Record was finalized and provided to Managers in November.  Presented an overview of the project at the November 2011 Managers meeting.
